How Teaching Works
Choose a group. We provide the materials. You bring your voice.
Every Saturday from 8–9 PM Beijing Time, volunteers lead a one-hour online English lesson through Tencent Meeting. Choose the group you want to teach, use our provided lesson materials, and start making an impact from wherever you are.
Tencent Meeting
Every week, our classrooms come together through recurring Tencent Meeting sessions from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM Beijing time, creating a consistent digital learning environment accessible across communities and geographic boundaries.
To ensure that learners arrive prepared and can engage meaningfully with each session, lesson materials are distributed in advance at 5:00 PM Beijing time before every class, giving participants time to preview key vocabulary, concepts, activities, and discussion prompts.
With approximately 185 learners participating in each class, these sessions transform what could otherwise be an individual privilege into a shared educational resource at scale.
1 Lesson = 2 Volunteer Hours
One hour of teaching + one hour credited for preparation.
